Dayum!!. Juz took me one day to update the blog.Ha!Peeps u gotta be impressed ok. Sucha task sucha task.
It was Kailin's super belated bday. And off we went to eat at Marche now known as the Village..Same place same food i dunno why they had to undergo renovation. Seriously. I think Night Shyamalan bought over the place. (Nods head assuringly)
Sorry girl, didn't know exactly wad to get you. Thought the voucher wld save myself from buying some shit-assed thing for u. Hope u liked the dinner. And the cake. N jo looking at the reflection thinkin it was us. Sorry if i was a mad-cap, as JX told me the lack of slp has caused that wacky streak. Can't help it. Bah! Anyway, wads new with Vim man.

Long long time eh? Sorry ya all..was bz with the work n stuff. Didn't have time to write entries. So much has being going on in my life that I offically label myself 'scatter-brain'.
Work's being fine.. Done with IMF.So the big oo-haa n al is over. More importantly, I can finally walk in thru that Suntec vicinity w/o anymore hassles. Sucha bitch i tel u. Anyway other than that work has been 'butterflies' so far, rite sab?
As i was gonna meet the friends, was looking at my nails in the cab. Realised it's such an eyesore and i haven't gone for a manicure or a pedicure for god knows how long. But then again manicure or pedicure also no cure for my disgusting looking nails.
Sab thinks I'm kpo when i choose to look at someone fighting on the street. This was a scenario outside Taka when a man was scolding two kids

I dunno y im bloggin this buTBUT the point im tryin to make is that, im not kpo, it is termed 'journalistic instinct. N im dead sure, evryone has this streak in them.
Didn't intend to go shopping and almost walked outta zara happily w/o any shopping bags. Then sab walks in n shows me this jacket that i missed. Walked out of zara 15 mins later becoming poorer financially. U fuckin hell. But it's ok la, the jacket also quite nice.
Wanted to watch a movie thereafter, but sat at coffee express for hrs BITCHING like fuck. I juz cannot imagine how come we can move our mouths so much. It does wonders eh 
We ate at sakae sushi. Fucking 9 plates cos each of them goin for a dollar.shiok.
The family and I were planning a trip to Thailand end this year. A week later, Generel Sonthi had to make his move to cause a political turmoil. Wad purrfect timing man.. See bey cheebai.
Exodus having closing down sale in PS. Bloody go. Damn nice the shoes. and dirt cheap.

The wk and a half break was over and there the whole load of assignments came loaded on me. Looking forward to IMF though.lotsa work+tight security, yet earnest to see how it would be like esp we being hosts. Not really in the mood to write today cos theres juz lotsa reports to finish up.

Ok ok..Won't go on to write my commentries since friendsies said they are too heart-wrenching and blogs are meant for mindless 'retellings' of your life. NOT!
Again the year passed with me failing to catch WOMAD. Friends and colleagues both said it wasn't as gd s previous ones. Can't give mah opinion cos i wasn't there! sigh.
I had an off day on thurs. wanted to go for a run BUT God had to destroy my plans by showing care to the plants by watering them. Actually that's juz an excuse.. I mean how more cozy cld it get slacking in my crib (sense the nigger wannabe shit) when it's so dark even at 3 in the afternoon. But since Vimita Mohandas just can't sit down her ass for a while, she decided to do some experimenting in the kitchen! That's right mates. Off she went to cook.
So friends and family always know me for my brownies...So i decided to go back to the roots and prove myself a potentially grrrreat yeeendian wifey. Attempted making gulab jamuns aka deep fried balls of fat.
It's a delicasy which is served after dinner at most weddings and those north indian restaurants. It's basically round balls of dough with milk, deep fried in ghee and soaked in syrup. What a PERFECT substitute for my initial plan of goin for a jog.
But i tell you the eventual product was damn good la!!i was myself shocked and amazed at my talent at cooking!damn is my husband gonna b shit-ass lucky or wad (lemme juz b self-absorbed a lil while here k).And you know they usually sell 2 round balls for 6 bucks at those high-end northie restaurants. I made friggin 50 balls!and spent only 10 dollars on the ingredients. Cheebai these babusengs, always cheat ppl. Like as if dough damn ex. Nabei.
Work's been fine. Hectic as usual. Went for the biennale opening where you getta glimpse of those artsy fartsy ppl. This one thing bout me. Can't appreciate like a piece of rock and stare at it making out what it is. Cheebai stare until eyes pain. If like those complex images and the need for commentary is there, fine...but not abstract man.seiow. Anyway it was quite intriguing to see some assholes who wrapped themselves up with curtains. Fashion- apparently.
Then went for RSAF open house. Not too bad. But when you have already seen the apaches and chinooks and stuff, it just is yet another trip. Weather sure wasn't on my side. And for the first time in my life, i was tempted to slit the throat of the taxi driver who sent me there. Don't wanna go to details. Too much to handle. Saw joshua and his friend there. And thank you josh for juz dragggging me out in the sun. Like s if i need a tan!!!!
Then went to new asia on sat. Damn long la..it was good...Just like how indians don't nd to get high to dance, I can safely say the same for Philippinos (This was said by Mario)! Ha!
Food for thought:
I dunno if what I am going to say is exactly food. But just smthg abt the human complexity that I don't comprehend. A person knows they did smthg wrong. Next day comes, and I forgot bout what they did. But just cos I speak minimally due to work schedules and I AM LIKE NOT IN THE Mood due to other reasons, people just question you rudely bout your attitude. For God's sake, sometimes human beings should realise that the world doesn't revolve ard them. And it doesn't make you less of a man to stand up for what you did wrong. In fact it would make ppl respect you more. Perhaps it comes with age? I dunno. I guess it's just one of those things. And it damn well irrritates the shit hell outta me.
Brand New week and I am embracing it with a brand new attitude (wtf? )

Where did Israel go wrong?

Love my off days cos I can finally sit and watch BBC/ CNN and read the papers and reflect and even find time to write commentries.
The recent middle east conflict between the Hizbollah militia and Israel sure has brought to light the new 'state-of-the art' military power these rural terrorist groups possess.
Israel- a country renowned for its exceptional military power and world-class army finally admitted it had failed to knock down the Hizbollah militia. Shame shame, papa shame.
After extensive reading of the reports this is what I gathered for what MAY have caused Israel's failure.
(By the way, this is just my perception. And i truly sincerely believe everyone is entitled to their own opinions right k. I may be wrong, Feel free to share yours)
1) There is heavy emphasis placed on aerial attacks. The United States also falls prey to this. Air strikes solely aren't enough to win a war in today's era. Until the world's major superpowers digest this fact, Bin Laden will still be sitting in his house watching his favoure pop icon Whitney Houston performing her 90's hits.
What is really important sometimes is to go traditional. I feel that ground offensives are cardinal to dislodge the enemy. Complacency by nations with magnificent armies eventually cause their downfall. These nations should realise they are not just dealing with the brainwashed young teen carryin a long barelled .38 and a machine gun and simply hiding in the mountainous regions. Yes, they are trained in these regions but they are now computer-literate fighters who are trained to handle complicated weaponry.
What impressed me about the Hizbollah militia was its strategic planning of fighting the war. Their size may not be as impressive as the Israeli army. However, their fighters and arms were dispersed into 'small mobile units with independant commands'. Bravo Bravo....
2) It is the perception of the world since generations that the Israeli army is one that can hardly be defeated. However, have we ever stopped to examine the quality of the Israeli soldiers today? Don't get me wrong. I am not about to say they are 'kunyangs' or they are incapable of fighting. However, I believe that the mindsets and the aims of the soldiers have changed in recent times alongside globalisation.
With the heavy emphasis on productivity, innovation and entrepreneurship, even the common Israeli man wants to settle down with a family, a car, a house a stable job-basically living the fulfilling life of a typical family man. (Now seriously who wouldn't want that. I mean I wouldn't mind being a dutiful wife for an Israeli man- U noe how hot they are and I am going way out of point....)
The repurcussions of any war is sure ugly. What caught my attention was this statement made. 'Israel wanted to break Hizbollah's spine but the militia had no spine to break' .
Indeed, it is Hizbollah's tactical planning of handling its opponents that enabled the militia to continue functioning despite its massive aerial bombardments.
So I plan to leave my readers thinking- Do your really think that massive aerial attacks are going to lift a country one step ahead in a war? Do think about it, and holler with a tag..

It has been almost eons ince Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and finally Karan Johar released the much awaited Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna or KANK with the typical star-studded cast.
Watched it last week with the usual hindi movie freaks and obtaining tickets were sucha bitch. Through fone booking, secured 3 tickets- 2nd row from the screen at Junction 8 (happening seats at an equally happening venue)
I don't noe why they had to tear down Bedok cinema and have it in GV cinemas now. I realli miss Bedok as lotsa fond memories are attached to it. Right from the rats running ard in the cinemas, to the faint oil smell to the kacang putih man with the golden tooth, to being dragged down by the family to watch the most disgusting of hindi movies when i was young and had practically NO say in most issues, n the most spastic dating days. Still, I miss Bedok.sob
Anyway, back to the movie. Sure Karan as exceptional skill in choosing the right music compositions for his movies. Haunting it sure is and creates a mood for the celebration of love, joy and basically being loved by that mysterious someone who wld juz 'walk past you and blow you away' (Vim turns her head to the person next to her hoping it to be a John Abraham or Shah Rukh lookalike- Only to be invited with an Indian national with rancid smelling armpits)
I am TRULY DISAPPOINTED with Shah Rukh aka SRK. Truly. My friends right from secondary sch wld know how much i loved him and mu obsession and I am sure it would come as a surprise for me to be putting down this statement. I really dunno what drove him to take up such a role. Wassit the greed for money, or perhaps the mafias forcing him into it or wassit yet another chance for him to fondle rani?? I truly don't know.
Sparing my readers with the details, plot of the movie centered ard adultery. Truly a delicate subject which requires extreme sensitivity (considering viewers are Indians where the mention of this word would see their wife slaughtered and buried with curry powder)
Karan has failed tragically to develop his themes and plot. Very saddening. Why Karan? Why
Repurcussions:
- SRK turns out to be a bastard
- Rani a slut (though her make-up and hairdo was pretty impressive through-out the film even during the most depressing scenes)
- Abhishiek and Preity turning out to be the fallen heroes
By the way, a furore was ignited in the cinema with the Indian and Malays feeling very affected by the plot and themes. As i walked out of the cinema after the 195 minute show, the discussions among each grp was MASSIVE. Among Indian nationals especially. Clad with carrot-cut jeans and polo-necked t-shirts they were engaged in their heated forum discussions. Had to slow down my pace to get the feel frm the ground. Here's what i got.
(With absolutely thick Indian accent)
Indian boy: Are yaar, Vat was that buddy! But Rani vas hot yaar. I mean...vow!!
Boy 2: Yeah Rani was super hot yaar! If only i cld get a biwi (Wife) like dat. It wld be my sapna (dream) yaar!
Girl 1: Hey guys, vhat are you talking abt? No morals. Realli! I'm sure if Yash uncle was alive, Karan vouldn't have done this.
This truly caught my attention. The way she spoke abt Yash Johar (karan's dad who died recently) was s if he was like her neighbour in Katong or smthg.
Phew, If Ubncle Yash had smelt her armpits,he sure wld have risen from the dead (she was the same girl sitting beside me in the cinema btw)
Overall, the fact that the movie received flak from most of the Yeendian and Malay viewers and also a Starits Times movie critic doesn't surprise me. This truly was SRK's downfall and I think he shld juz revert to his gd ole' psycho roles like that played in Anjaam and Darr. Been a long time since.
Now ppl, don't get me wrong that I cannot accept such mature themes. But, I feel that should a person want to handle such sensitive themes, its treatment of it should be given much thought and not be neglected. At least that's my perception. Feel free to give your views and even say i think i know evrything, since some of my readers think I'm too smart. heh..but, im juz sharing my opinions yeah. No offence taken..

Was walking home on tuesday when this chinese looking man with an indonesian accent stopped me and asked if i was from Malaysia. I was quite baffled. I mean M'sia??India, Mexico or Spain i can understand but Malaysia??That's the first. And funny it is, I was actually watching some interview on CNA with Renowned Malaysian journalist Datuk Anwar and Datuk Adbullah Badawi that morning...Did the watching of that interview have smthg to do with my actions that led someone like him to believe I was M'sian? Or mebbe i juz resembled a hibiscus flower..ahahah.

Managed to get my ass home pretty early on wed after my morning shift.
With teh-oh in hand and sprawled on my couch, the black box gripped my attention for a gd few hrs.
Caught Seinfeld on star.old skool comedy- still the best. : )
I was abt to have my shower when the irritating loud music bed for S'pore Idol started blasting as I switched the channel. Well, thought I'd not be so swaku and be a lil 'IN' n watch it. So here's the armchair critic's opinion of S'pore Idol.
THAT SHOW IS FUC@#$ING A WASTE OF BLOODY TIME AND SHOULD BE BANNED. BLOOOOODY BANNED..GEDDIT?!?!BANNNED! (short spurts of geram emotions are quite normal)
Right ...few words to each contestant...if i can remember all ya names.(how can i not esp when your faces r like evrywhere i go, on every paper i pick, in every toilet i go to, every every where!!)
Rahimah rahim aka rocker chicken- Now this Babe. U need not necessarily need to give some kinda marilyn manson stare to prove you're into rock yano. It's damn fuc#$ing silly and you simply appear as a complete imbecile. Your voice may be strong but you try to hard. try to chill. Mebbe that wld help.
Mathilda aka powerhouse- Well this girl I muz say has a very impressive voice. Only saviour to the competition among the females. And I'm not supporting her juz cos she's indian ya..But guess, she might not get in as her image isn't that polished to the extent of reaching an idol status.
Hady Mirza aka taufik wannabe- Lacks originality. But compared to the other contestants, he has got some kinda style which i prolly reckon appeals to the screaming-mad teenage meenahs.
Nurul aka pinky spice- You're a pretty girl but ure hella BORING TO THE CORE CAN. Your days are numbered. Gdbye to you in advance.
That Chinese guy who looks like a racoon- You've gotta smooth voice, i have to admit. But ure just yet another char kway teow seller's son in toa payoh St 14 S11 coffee shop.(rolls eyes) That's y even if you don a Hugo Boss suit on u or wateva, still doesn't impact me.
Paul Twohill aka shit cheebai face- NOW this idiot really pisses the shit outta me. I shall reali refrain from flaunting my vulgarities but i seriously have not met any idol contestant as bloody ANNOYING, SICKENING AND IRRITATING as him.(stab)reali. His hair that hides his face- u noe y he does that?It's not like he's some big-time trend setter. It's cos he really is damn fugly that he has to hide his own face. Ive never said anyone is ugly, but this guy is really, im sorry twohill, but u shld reali do smthg. And besides, your personality ain't shiny enuf to compensate for your disgusting looks. But his voice is ok...juz ok.
OK and my personal fav- Jonathan Leong
Simply cos he's hot hot and hot!...Looks good on tv,blessed with a velvet voice (i sense the lack of objectivity) and he realy managed to grasp my attention, which is an achievement. (dramatic loud applause commonly seen in hindi movies)
I like him. I think I'm gonna vote for him. In the finals. Handsome I like (flashes the sweet coy smile when mesmerized)...
Now, as for armchair critics like me, we do wad we do best, Condemn whoever we can but never have the guts to go on tv and participate in such competitions.oh hang on, don't let me get started on Ms Singapore Universe. KNN CCB.. k am outz.
